Itinerary

Known as "Pueblos Blancos", the white villages in Andalusia are some of those places that makes you feel inspired and welcome instantly. With their stunning beauty and enviable hilltop locations with panoramic long distance views, it has attracted many different settlers throughout the centuries.

Castles, houses, temples, roads and mills were built amongst many other constructions in these villages. The "pueblos blancos" can tell a lot about the culture and customs of their previous and present settlers through their beautiful streets and stunning views.

You will start your journey by being driven first to Medina Sidonia, also knowns as "The Balcony of Cádiz" for its impressive views over the whole province. Famous for its gastronomy and delicious homemade sweets, Medina Sidonia was an extremely important city during Roman times and the capital of one of the independent kingdoms that formed in Muslim Andalusia. Relish the beauty of the incredibly preserved evidence of these two cultures as you explore its beautiful streets.

Enjoy a unch in a great local restaurant together with your personal local host, to later be driven to Arcos de la Frontera or simply Arcos.

Once on the frontier between two kingdoms (one Muslim and one Christian), the quaint whitewashed town of Arcos de la Frontera still keeps proof of this in its name. A delightful labyrinth of narrow streets spotted with palatial houses, getting lost in the winding streets of this old town is a real pleasure that can lead to discover beautiful hidden corners. Revel in breathtaking views of the Gudalete valley and visit a private residence to see the inner side of the old town's traditional architecture.

You will later stop for coffee to relive the memories of the day and finally you will be driven back to your accommodation.
