Cross the Middle Atlas for a surprising change of landscape, especially when you reach the “little Switzerland” of Africa, the town of Ifrane. Move on to Fez, the religious and cultural capital of the country, known for its mosques, palaces, and fountains.

Upon travelling back to the port of Tangier, stop by Meknes to see the stunning Bab Mansour, an enormous gate with arches and mosaic tiling.
